We begin with a design and style consultation to discuss the vibe you want, choose colors, themes, props, outfits, and a location that fits your needs, indoors or out. Each session is customized to fit your unique vision. I’ll even come to your home to help you choose your wardrobe and walk you through our process together.

Feeling Your Best

The day of the photoshoot will be as stress-free for you as possible. I bring everything we need – really. Some sessions include hair and make-up services done at your home or office to help you be camera ready. Posing in ways that flatter you bringing out your personality and style is a must. I’ll guide you through the whole session.

Support and Guidance

Less than two weeks after the photo session, we have a viewing and ordering appointment together where you will see only the best photos from your session. You will choose your favorites images and select the perfect ways to display them that matches your style. Digitals plus prints is the best of both worlds.

Frequently Asked Questions

While I take the time to answer all of your questions both before and after you book your photo experience, here are answers to a few commonly asked things.

You will feel at ease and comfortable in front of the camera. We take time to get to know each other both during the planning process and while I am setting up at our session. Then, I guide you into poses that flatter you and show your personality.

I bring lighting on location. While you rarely see other photographers doing this, using an off-camera flash is the key to getting you to look natural without any color casts in your skin tone from surrounding backgrounds and to make your eyes sparkle in every photo. It takes only a few extra minutes to get set-up, and the flash helps me control the angle and amount of light ensuring your images will be beautiful and true to color. It’s not like a flash on a phone or point and shoot camera, and you’ll agree is totally worth it when you see the outcome.

Worried about your young children? I invite your children to help me, so they feel involved and important. I have plenty of tricks to bring out natural smiles and lots of fun. Don’t worry about posing! My artistic eye and years of experience will make sure you all look visually pleasing in photos and each member of your family is comfortable.

It is super easy for you and takes up a relatively small space. You sit back and relax, finish getting your hair and make-up done, or even feed your baby while I get each prop, floor, wrap, backdrop, and lighting set-up and ready to go. It might look like a mess as we move through each newborn or maternity set design, but rest assured, I will clean up every bit of what I brought and more!

View this video taken in a client home, as an example. This is their dining room. We moved the table and used kitchen chairs for the kids (and me) to add height as needed. I also have a portable backdrop system that is easy to set up.
