Every newborn photo session I am blessed to take is special, and Lillian’s was no exception. Her are parents are personal friends of mine and had more than a few struggles on their journey to bring her into this world. She is here, healthy, and very loved. We had so much fun at her in-home newborn photo session in Houston, Texas and love that I can share so many of her images with you. The color palette for this session is very common and my most requested combination for girls these days: soft pink, sage, and cream. I try to mix it up by varying which pieces from my client closet that I use, so not everyone’s photos look the same. However, when we plan your session, I listen to what you like and do my best to meet your vision. If you love a specific wrap, outfit, or pose that I have previously done, we’ll re-create it with your little one.
The parent photos are super cute. It’s obvious how much these two love their little baby girl. Mom wore a dress from my client closet, and I helped her choose a shirt from Dad’s closet during our in-home pre-session consultation. They look great together pulling in all of the colors Mom wanted.
Who doesn’t love a baby in a basket? I used my rectangular basket and white floor mat for this pose, and Lillian slept soundly all wrapped up in the cozy pink wrap with matching headband. She probably could have stayed there longer if we had let her.
And when I unwrapped her, she woke up. We tried some poses in a cute little bucket, but she wasn’t interested and got a little hungry. After a snack and some snuggles with Mom, Lillian was ready to show off how many different faces she could make for the camera. Here are some of the ones I was able to capture, including a big yawn.
She tired herself out after that and was ready for her all cream set ups. I added some lace and flowers and even a bonnet to get some variety for parents to choose from while we moved easily through lots of poses as Lillian slept. There are detail shots of her tiny features and we even put her in a bunny outfit since it was so close to Easter. The bunny one was Dad’s favorite.
Isn’t she just precious?
