Adelynn’s In-Home Session
Welcome to the world sweet Adelynn. She was such a good little baby for her newborn photo session that took place in her home in Jersey Village, Texas. Her big brother was just as adorable and helpful, and I just love how all the images came out. The color palette was ballet pink, sage green, cream, and we even managed a set with a beautiful blue. We took the family images against a small wall in their kitchen, moving the table and chairs back a bit to give us space. I worked a little magic in Photoshop to extend the background and erase a light switch on the wall, but I am guessing you would never have known. The family looks so good together in the colors Mom chose, and I am so happy Dad was able to come home from work to get in some shots, then go back when we he was done. For the sibling shots, I used my set-up that I bring with faux wood floors and a backdrop stand. Check out how awesome they are.
I used a great new rustic white dough bowl for the green wrapped images that we set up in their living room. Little Adelynn fit perfectly at just under two weeks old and made the most amazing little face during this set! The green compliments her skin tone so well, I don’t know which one is my favorite.
Our last set was a pretty blue wrap (that could be for a girl or a boy) that matched a blue and pink floral background. Baby girl was just about over being photographed by this time, so we only got some wrapped shots – she was not happy when we let her take her arms out.
There was one more set-up where we incorporated Mom’s wedding veil and some slippers that were Mom’s when she was baby. Those deserve a whole post to themselves because they are so special and sentimental. I’ll be sharing those soon.
